We tried to write about Aussie duo PILGRIMS a couple of days ago, after spotting their debut track, 'Pieces', on excellent Antipodean blog, Hillydilly. A tech glitch (on their SoundCloud, we think) prevented us from doing so, but our love for Toma Banjanin and Jonathan Bowden's thumping take on indie-rock has only grown in the meantime. Imagine Black Keys' dusty guitarwork injected with a shot of The Acid's coursing, creeping electronica and you're not far off. A superb debut. - DC
